To carry out its operations, Photonic Pharma has made arrangements for access to the following resources:

  • The University of Minnesota (UMN) Biophysical Technology Center (BTC) and the Institute for Therapeutics Discovery & Development (ITDD) provide access to other facilities needed for high-throughput screening.
  • Fluorescence Innovations, Inc. (FI) provides access to Photonic Pharma to their unique fluorescence lifetime instrumentation for high-throughput screening.

UMN Biophysical Technology Center 

  • Cell culture room equipped with a laminar flow hood, CO2 cell culture incubators, microscopes and centrifugation equipment.
  • Liquid handling equipment to dispense samples into plates for data acquisition.
  • NIH Clinical Collections - a small library of known bio-active compounds to use with pilot screens.

UMN Institute for Therapeutics Discovery & Development

  • E​quipment necessary to apply compound libraries to assay plates.

Fluorescence Innovations, Inc.

  • FI and Photonic Pharma collaborated to design custom fluorescence lifetime (FLT) plate readers for commercial high-throughput screening applications. These instruments are owned by Photonic Pharma and maintained by FI personnel who ensure that the instruments are optimally configured to meet the requirements of Photonic Pharma and our customers.
  • FLT instruments are available for use or purchase through Photonic Pharma.
